Original fire training came from the U.S. Navy. I have attended the Tennessee Fire Academy. Certified as a Firefighter, Engineer, EMT, Extrication Technician, and Tennessee Association of Rescue Squads Instructor 1.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Not very many people are 100% honest about this part. Most folks say "to help people" and i think that is true to a certain extent. But most of us stick with it because of the rush, the pride, and the honor.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

I think some of the top issues facing responders today are staffing and funding. Which are both controlled by politicians who have no idea about what we go through in this service. They seem to never have enough money.
