Brotherhood of Fire ~ is knowing you have a connection with someone who transcends a working relationship, or even an ordinary friendship. Someone who has equal values and who understands you, and why you are they way you are. Through shared similar risks and experiences a strong bond develops during the course of a career, and life. Someone who has your back... no matter what. Brave. Tough. Willing to serve.See More

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I joined EMS because I needed a better job than waiting tables. Became addicted to helping people. Decided I could do more as a firefighter, originally was scared of the idea of being inside a structure fire but now, I wouldn't be anywhere else. I have recently become interested in the technical rescue branch of Fire Rescue.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love the smell of smoke in my clothes, the big eyes of a little kid when I get out of the engine. The eyes of career city firefighters when they find out it is just me on an engine.
