I have 32 years experance in the Fire Fighting Service. I have served all of them in a volunteer Dept. I have served in every position and office for many different Fire Dept. I want to say that even though I have had much training, i still do not know everthing that there is to know about Fire Fighting, there is alsways something knew to learn.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined the Jr. Fire Program in Eldred Township VFD at the age of 16. But I became extreamly active and dedicated in the Fire Service when I lost my first wife and three sons in a fire while stationed in England, in the US Air Force.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

giveing back to the community that I live in. Also saveing a life from a burning fire, there is no high, that tops the high that one gets when saveing a life from a fire.

Top Issues Facing Responders:

1'st} The riseing cost of opperation.
2'nd} The safety of the Fire Service Personial - due to all the different types of products that are made.
3'rd} The number of Emerengcy Personial is steadly decreasing.
