- Why I Joined Fire/EMS
- I was able to help my mom, who is a nurse and a medic, at the scene of a few accident. I then entered Nursing school and joined a department.
- Why I Love Fire/EMS
- I love the rush feeling you get and I love to help people.
- Top Issues Facing Responders:
- On a volunteer department, we have people that are "on" the dept but wont run. The same people pick up the runs and it can be hard to get a crew together to take the runs. That is not fair to the patients and the the responders have to hear about it. It can make those that run all the time feel bad when they are not around and that the dept had to have someone take our run for us.

Ok First off, I have never had so many people write me with good lucks and all of that before. Thank you all for caring. You were all with me yesterday at registry.
Ok. UPDATE: I passed my practicles with flying colors. That was a walk in the park. Yay....I had already passed the final... YAY...

So tomorrow I take my practicals to finish my EMT-B. I am soooo nervous.. Feel like I dont know anything. And then registry.. OMG I dont know about all of this. I just get really nervous about test. I have this thinking where I have to do things perfect or I get upset. I dont know why but I am just like that.. Will keep all of you updated. Then I start my fire class, while trying to keep my grades up for Nursing.. AHHH
