Why I Joined Fire/EMS: When I was growing up my Farther was in a volly dept. and I wanted to be like him so when I turned 16 I joined and as time went on I started going to all training schools that were available. In 1976 I became a instr. in the Conn. fire school system. About the same time I decided that I wanted to be a paid fire fighter and started taking test for all the jobs that opened up in the area in 1982 I was hired by the City of Norwich and have been there ever since. 10 years ago I was promoted to Lieutenant at Eng-2.
