About Me:

I started in september 1982 as a Jr. fire fighter in Manvel V.F.D where my training started, i can say that i recieved the best training from the members of the department they were thier for me to make sure i knew what being a volunteer fire fighter was all about. Then i had to move to Livingston Tx. where i started with the Scenic Loop V.F.D in August 20, 1986. I also recieved the best training you could ever ask for, it was tough, over the years i work my way up as a LT. Capt. Asst. Chief and now hold the Fire Chief position. it was tough and a lot of time and training to get there. but very much worth it, I also work for Rural Metro for 14 years and enjoy it, wish they were still here in polk county.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My cousin had started with the Houston Fire Dept. and when he came home and told me how they trained, I started to read his books and then I wanted to be a fire fighter. I talk with him to see when I could be a fire fighter, he told me that he would call Manvel V.F.D and talk to them to see if i could join as a Jr. then the next tuesday night he took me to there meeting, thats when I started, Started at the age of 13 with Manvel V.F.D as a jr fire fighter, and very much injoy helping my community and others. they say it get's in your blood, but the way i see it, it comes from the heart.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

Being able to help others when emergency occurs.
