I have F.F. 1 & 2, hazmat 1, red carded for wildland 1 & 2, I come up with all of our props that we use to train on, mayday prop, bailout prop, w/ a roof vent. attached to the bailout prop. ok i copied them but we use them , still its to make us safer on the fire ground
Ok about me, well im 43 and I'm on a v.f.d. been with them for 12 years this year. i love to fight fire, we have 5 stations on the east side of our county. And 6 stations on the west side of our county, and 2 of the bigger towns have a emergency response teams, with vol. EMT's as well for the bigger towns. Our dept. which is just fire is the best department around, we think so. But i have always love to fight fire, even before i was s fire fighter i would go follow the trucks around to see what the do. So i gave it a shot, and here i am 12 yrs. later, i got a position in the department as the party chairman, got to feed those guys on a good training night. Then became a asst. training officer for our department and built some awesome training props. i think are top knotch. So that's my story and im sticking to it!
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
The passion of wanting to do what they do. Close net family, I love the team work, the drive that wants me to being better each time i come to train with them.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Cant get all the guys to show up when we get paged to a fire. So we have put a program together to try to getting people back into wanting to come to fires again. It's been slowl, but the numbers are picking up.
