About Me:
I am the wildland captain for our little combination fire district. I am currently in paramedic class. I am married with a son and another son on the way. I own a tree removal company in which we do hazard tree removal, urban interface forestry work (small scale), and some arborist work.
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
During high school the ever popular question of what next?
Visiting a friend at TFD station 1, !this could be it! a smooth talking college recruiter, a friend in the service, and some need to help people led me here.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
In a small community everyone knows everyone and you can really see the difference you make!
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Challenging two man engine company with a large district and one station. All levels of training and skills from full time to volunteer. Narrow winding roads in a rural setting amongst the woods with animals and snow. Target hazards like nine summer camps and custom auto "hobby" shops. My self and one other captain working on ALS status, for now one ALS shift and two BLS shifts.
