Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I started with La Mesa as an Explorer in 2004. My parents sent me to the station to check it out and im still part of it. At the time i didnt know if i wanted to be a cop or firefighter but after the first meeting i decided what i wanted to be, a firefighter. Now im working as a EMT and going through a Wildland academy. Next step is getting on a reserve station or paid department.
