Why I Joined Fire/EMS

At the age of 14, I joined my local volunteer fire department and became and explorer. I have been on the fire department for sometime now and this last April became an actual firefighter. In May I graduated high school. Now I am attending Kirkwood Community College to get a degree in Fire Science. My goal is to became a full-time firefighter by the age of 21.
