Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My brother and I passed the Manchester VFD in Spring Lake, NC and saw on the sign, "Volunteeres Needed". Having been raised in a family where helping others was a priority, it was a natural thing to walk inside and talk to the captain on duty. I joined and my brother didn't. I have never regretted for a moment my decision to volunteer my time.
