Why I Joined Fire/EMS
Ive always been an outdoors, hands on kind of guy that likes excitement and the look on peoples face when you make their lives just a little bit better in or outside of the fire service.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Whats not to love? its exciting, there are lots of suprises that keep things interesting, the hours are great and it pays pretty well.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Heart health- the number 1 killer of firefighters in the world is heart disease due in large part to stress, i cant make the job less stressful but I can help prevent heart disease by staying as healthy as possible. Working out is a big deal for my career and personal life.
