I agree with Rick Lowery. www.arff.info is a great place to find information. If you have any questionsjust ask and we'll try and get you the answers. Stay safe.
thanks for the comments William (Bill, Will, Hey You? preference?)
Clarence is a bit of a drive....but I definitely appreciate the vote of confidence. I'm just one of those anal-retentive types who wants all the answers now, and hates looking like...well....the FNG.
I'm fine, just a little nervous. If I were cocky, wouldn't you all be worrying instead??
:)
William,
You should check out www.arff.info it is a great forum for arff personnel and you can get alot of answers there. Also you can email me at fireman5309@gmail.com and I will try to answer any questions you might have.
If you read some of my blog posts, you'll find that I'm the FASNY state-wide training coordinator, but in addition to that, I'm about to embark on my journey to volunteer firefighter.
This is a huge step for me....and I get the shivers, in a good way, every time I think about it. I have an enormous resevoir of respect for vollies...my job aside.
I can't wait to start. For me, it was all about putting my character where my mouth was...stop talking the safety and training talk and start walking the bunker pants walk.
