hey bob. ya more female members is a mixed feeling for me. some ive come across... im like really? no wonder they dont like girls on fire halls.... not to honk my own horn but i am the shit. i dont quit, im not afraid, and i can take the razzing by the men. i may not be as physically strong, but give me a job and i WILL get it done. i dont cry easily. i dont take much personally, and i push myself to be better and better all the time. we've gone through a lot of girls who just cant hack it, wanna change the fire dept into some kinda wussy politically correct place that has different measuring sticks for men and women. not cool with me. i like to see women on the dept, but i hate it when they try to change it into something its not so they can feel better about themselves.. :) BTW i like to speak my mind. dont be afraid:)
Hello Bob, I'm Bruno. Thank's for the Friend invite. very good site you have. Me to help the children who fathers dead in fire or rescue missions with my Motorbike club Wind & fire M.C. I'm captain in fire Prévention. Firefighters world is a big family.
Bye and excuse my english spoken.
Hi Bob, Thanks for the friend invite. Sorry for the delay, but I just got the chance to check out your page. I'm still making formations, Army Reserves, 21 years now and still going. I just found out I made the promotion list, so I'll be staying for at least another 2-3 years. Currently overseas, and looking forward to getting home in a couple months.
Thanks for your service in both, the military and fire service. What branch were you in? Stay safe and enjoy your retirement. Bill
Hi Bob the response to your "hiring " question (April 2008) ** we have 6 more on "the LIST" you or someone may apply
currently MUST have F/ftr I or II and be a NYS-EMT a little push or pull after Barrack is the Prez probably wouldn't hurt...
you take care
How is the Bagpipe lessons doing??
I'm suprised your the first one to make a crack about it. I head up a group we have at our FD called "The Firehouse Gang". We do fire & life safety education through characterization, puppets, magic, & music. Believe me, that picture looks better than my alter ego Ken.
Not a problem. It's got nothing to do with Fire Investigation. I hire firefighters to work on their days off swapping out TVs with new ones at national businesses, such as Chili's, Blockbuster, American Eagle Outfitters, Target etc. I hire in all 50 states and Canada. Pays about $50. an hour.
