Wow you rock... Be safe and welcome to the Brother/Sisterhood.
Congratulations. I look forward to reading more of your posts; I just applied to be a volunteer firefighter and I'm 43. Must be having a midlife crisis... I've always been interested just never did anything about it. Best wishes and take care.
Welcome to FFN from New Hampshire and congrats on conquering the ladder drill and all of the other stressors in training / life / and home. I taught an ARFF Class to some Morristown, NJ Firefighters a while ago, good group of guys down there. If any of them are here on FFN pass the word that I have a page here too. Stay safe. Bill
Hi Denise. Yes fire school is hard, especially trying to do it with 3 kids and no help from anyone. But if your heart is in to it, then by all means go for it. You will problably be better off taking the night class, this way you will be home more during the day. Stay with it, and good luck.
Thank you everyone for your encouragement! I had my little league team come to the firehouse today and it was inspiring to say the least. I'll let you know how it goes!
