I was at home doing absolutely nothing. My wife came home around 4p and said that the street was blocked off. I heard no tone, the little orange light "wasnt" orange. I felt left out. I wish I could have been there.

lol yeah the hazmat stuff is fun like that. get enough sleep before class for ops unless you like doing the sleepy head-bob thing. I went on a car fire the morning of ops at like 2am and was head-bobing the whole time.
funny you friend me here so i find you there, comments a plenty lol. the 36 hr. is a piece of cake, you'll have no problem. if you need to work on anything let me know, i can always use a refresher.
I was told that marvin is on here somewhere but I haven't found him yet. If he was to ask which one I was , tell him I was the the one that always sat in the back of the class & got to see everything!!! LOL
maybe you will. i've been at the seed company fire at wellington. there was about 10 or 11 depts. there and oberlin was 1 of them. That was a long night on that fire. well stay safe and I would enjoy hearing from you or some of the others again sometime.
welcome to the fire service. I am a F.F. for Rochester Fire, Wellington fire district. I did my 36 thru Oberlin fire, chief Kirin was a very good instructor. I know some of the guys there, Marvin is one of them. He went thru emt class with my younger brother, which is also on rochester fire. Stay safe & good luck.
