Hey Erin, how's things with you? Are you getting many calls lately? It's after quietening down here a bit, you mightn't get any calls for a day or two and all of a sudden hell breaks loose on the next day and you're going non-stop (Typical!), Talk soon and take care

You got it right in one sister! Unfortunately they're gonna keep on happening no matter what new laws or rules the authorities introduce. (but we'll just have to hope!)

Hi Erin, Sorry for the confusion, over here we call them road traffic accidents (rta's) or road traffic collisions (rtc's). I think you call them M.V.A.'s over on your side. It's not nice to say but unfortunately they're our most common calls!

Hi Erin, thanks for the reply. Much the same here, the weather's after picking up somewhat, so gorse fires (like wildland) are starting to increase (on top of the usual fires, R.T.A's, and other misc. calls we get). Well take care and look after yourself and your buddies!

hi erin this is the standered pump ladder used by the dublin fire brigade it has a 45 foot 35 foot and small scaling ladders on bord 400 gallen water tank / rescue cutting gear and some ems gear all dfb firefighters are trained paramedics and move from fire duty to ambulance duty in their working week i dont belive this is done anywere else in the world in this manner as they run the main part of the front line ambulance service in the city with the back up of the HSE ambulance service witch is state run. they run the ambulance services for rest of the country
