Greg, thanks, i have always wondered if the officers got to actually fight the fire or if they stayed with IC. i know it is purely matter of opinion, but in your opinion who makes the best leather lid? i am looking to buy one but have no one where to try one on or demo one so i kind have to just go off what i read on here there is a old 5A cairns in our fire hall and i like the feel and weight of it but i didnt if the have changed any.... I now have da Chief (or one of his 'minions') snooping around my comments page and leaving comments for you there, on my page. I commented to da Chief if he wanted me to pass you a note after gym class. He didn't respond. He does however feel it makes more sense for him to comment to you on a comment from you to me on my comment page rather than comment directly to you on your comments page about any comment you made about him to me on my comment page. fuckall even I'm confused now.

Hi Greg. GB is pretty small in the picture. We have 7 stations, 7 engines 2 1/2 trucks (we drop staffing of one truck if below 47 for the day....part of the cuts we endured) 4 ambulances. We have a staff of about 185 FF's, all are EMT and about 70 or so paramedic.

I agree with that you have written. I lnow that when I was in the Army, the only reasons I ever heard from those going to Vietnam were no tax, low interest housing loan, war zone allowance, and adventure. The bit about going over to help was always added last, because that was of cause the reason we were given.

Heroism? From some yes, but not all. They do their job. I also don't like people calling me a hero, I'm not, I'm a firefighter.

Thanks for the add. It's the xmas nativity scene discussion all over again. Funny how rabid some people get about it.
