Did you know that your break could be sitting right next to you on a plane?
Or perhaps standing beside you at a garage sale buying an antique? Or
they could be someone who you deem as insignificant on a set. Or
someone at a party that you were rude to because they weren't your
type. Any one that you discount, could be a huge factor in your success.

That is why you need to always be on your best behavior,
be prepared and dress for success where ever you go.

YOU NEVER KNOW!

If I could tell you exactly how to make it in this business,
I would be on my own yacht cruising the Bahamas.
But the one thing I do know is that everyone's path to
success is different. Fate plays a huge hand in your career.
After all, this is a relationship business. I certainly don't
want to be in business with someone who comes off as
depressed, angry, judgmental, scattered, tired or difficult.
Would you?

So get out there in the world and make friends where
ever you go. You might just meet that special some one
that could make a big difference in your future or maybe
you could help create a world that's a whole
lot happier because of your contribution.

Life is so short and we are living on this planet for a short time...

This is so true. I use a story when I teach my class " A Firefighter's Own Worst Enemy" from my basketball days in school. I'll keep it short, but the point is that you never know how your actions and decisions will affect you or your organization later in life.

We were playing a conference rival and early in the second half I stole the ball and had a break away. I heard the crowd screaming "dunk." As I raced down the sideline I could hear my coach screaming layup. He knew what I was thinking and could see I was drooling to slam the thing home. I got to the hoop and laid it in for 2.
With 4 seconds left in the game we were down by one point. We had the ball and scored with 1 second left and ended up winning the game. I always thought about what would have happend if I would have tried to dunk and missed, we would have been down by three instead of one.
Bottom line, it matters what you do today and every action has a reaction.
