Ive been hearing acouple rumors as of lately that First Responders and changing names to EMR(Emergency Medical Responder) and there will be no more bride progam from First Responder to EMT-B. I also heard if you live in Pennslyvania there are trying to bring back the EMT-I under the name of Advanced EMT.. Please Remember these are are what Ive been told and right now are still rumors

from what i was told is the advanced emt was the same scope of practice as EMT-I so if so its a name change pretty much and first responders are going to be called Emergency Medical Responders, SO WHAT!

Not rumors, that's going to happen, but PA isn't bringing back EMT-I under a new name. AEMT is a new, federal level under the National EMS scope of practice and providers levels, one of several areas of the National EMS Agenda for the Future. PA is like many states, adopting it. I don't know about getting rid of the bridge program.
