Thomasville Rescue Squad Places a Call for Help

Thomasville Rescue Squad is a 501c3 volunteer organization, specializing in 10 different types of Rescue, and has been serving the community for 40 years. Thomasville Rescue Squad is completely a volunteer organization, staffed with over 40 men and women who give their time to serve the citizens of this community. With the alleged financial infidelity of a former member and the current economic times, Thomasville Rescue has found itself in a position where it can no longer meet the demands placed upon it and is turning to the community for help. The Thomasville Rescue Squad is asking for extra donations to help offset decreased funding and higher costs, without them the Squad will be forced to cease operations and leave the community that it has served with pride and distinction.

Thomasville Rescue Squad receives funding from the United Way, and donations from the City of Thomasville and Davidson County but the primary source of funding is through private donations and fund raisers. The squad has instituted a new policy of "total transparency" which allows any citizen to request to see how the squad monies are being used. Thomasville Rescue Squad desires to continue its commitment to serve the citizens of Thomasville and surrounding areas and with the help of the community Thomasville Rescue Squad can overcome this hurdle and continue to serve proudly.
