STEWART, Capt. George John – surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Monday, February 2nd, 2009 in his 54th year. Cherished husband and best friend of Susan Stewart (nee Lawrie) of Simcoe. Loving and devoted father of Brooke Stewart of Simcoe and Abby Stewart of London. George will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Donna Simmons (Bob) of Simcoe, Linda Pai (Burkhard) of Penetang, Ruth Stewart (Andrew) of B.C. and Ross Stewart (Cathy) of Simcoe. George is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents John & Edna Stewart. George loved life. His passion was his family and his love for boating. George served our community for more than 21 years as a volunteer member of the Simcoe Fire Department, obtaining the rank of Captain. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
