PEIRSON, DAVID JOHN

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dave Peirson, age 48 years at the Stedman Community Hospice in Brantford after a brave battle with cancer on June 20, 2010. He is survived by the loves of his life: his fiancé, Mary Wright, his incredible children Bethany (Quinn), Benjamin and Tristan and of course, Gunner and Lucy. Son of Chic (CarolHargrove). Pre-deceased by his loving mother Shirley. Much loved brother of Mark (Kendra), Lisa (Evan Dicy) and Jodi (Cass Heller). Brother-in-law to Janet
(Ross) and Frances (Wayne). Loved nephew to many aunts and uncles, in particular Babe Smith. Proud uncle of Ben, Nicole, Jess, Kylie and Olivia as well as Richard, Alena, Michael and Amrnanda-Beth. Dave was a proud member of the Caledonia Fire
Department for 30 years serving as Captain for many years. He touched the lives of many through his years coaching ringette and hockey. Special thanks to Dr. Gunning, Becky, CCAC, especially Christy and Jeanette, staff at Lowe’s, Ray Dostal and staff at
Pharmaplus, the Caledonia Firefighters and the staff and volunteers at the hospice.

May the sorrow we feel be eased by the knowledge that he is now at peace.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held on Saturday June 26th at 11:00am at Miller’s Funeral Chapel in Caledonia. Memorial donations may be made to the Caledonia Firefighters Association, Canadian Cancer Society or Stedman Community Hospice.
