Yep theres nothing like working with hero's. theres nothing like working with the best firefighters on this planet earth (I think). You hear the horror stories about how the probie had to wash the rigs all by himself or do all the other firefighters dirty laundry for that introduction thing that some houses do. Hear the one about the female firefighter being herased by her fellow firefighters (because shes a girl????) LOL. Iv'e been there, done that. I belong to a fire department that, oh remember I said "belong to" it has so much respect it'll make you cry. This is one team that I would trust with my life any day of the week, any time of day. I have two people to thank for my interest, and the only interest, Johnny and Roy, the two Paramedics that saved lives back in the 70's, 80's. (Emergency folks) Yes on TV but they were hero's to me and sense than this has been my interest in life, to become a Firefighter/Paramedic, to save lives, all life,big or small I what to save them all. It feels soooo very good to save a dieing life. Sense I have been at my department I have been treated with more respect (which makes my job easier and so much more fun to put the wet stuff on the red stuff) than I have with any other person or group in my life. This is a welcoming department, a department that wants nothing more than for there family of brothers and sisters to succeed in there dream. This department treats there family with respect and honer even as a probie or a female, we all are the kings and hero's of our small little town all of ours, the whole department. This Fire department make you want to stay, it makes you want to grow, bigger,better and badder, to be the best at your job with all safety put in place (Safety is most important) and we strive for it, big time. I couldn't work for another department after being at this one. This department is all I want, this area is all I want. this department has firefighters that are the only firefighters I have ever worked with. I like that, I like these people very much, I love these guys. Thanks guys for making may dream come true. You guys really are the best.
