Frederick, Google "fire scene rehab" you will get more than you can read. Also, join Chief France's site, there is a lot of knowledge there.

Okay, I figured it was something like that. I just wanted to make sure. I tried looking for some threads about rehab but I couldn't find any. So, I guess I overlooked and I will go back and look again. Anyways, thank all of you for answering my question.

Nicely said Chief. On top of that, this position will give you access to the fire scene and will allow you to see how things are done without getting the way of the FF. But, remember this is a very important job and you must be on your game. The FF will be coming to you hot, sweaty, dehydrated, and tired, so make sure the water/gatorade etc is cool and ready to drink. We have a rehab/central command truck in our station, which allows us to carry huge amounts of liquids, ice, food, etc, it also has awnings for shade and fans to cool the guys down. If this is the role you are given right now, do it to the best of your ability and own it, this way you earn the respect of your guys. Good luck, have fun, but be safe.
