Notes from a Rookie Firefighter and Concerned Mom...February 19, 2011

Has anyone heard of the cigarette thingie called Disposable ECIG? My 17 year old son and his friends have all bought them, since they have no tar but they do have nicotine. I warned them all that since they are not FDA approved they could be dangerous. The warning says no more than puffs than 15 per hour. Here's the website http://www.logicecig.com.

Interesting, isn't the legal age to purchase cigarettes 18?
From here - http://www.logicecig.com/
LOGIC products must be used by persons of legal smoking age according to each state law. Identification of all persons under the age of 26 required before purchase.

Why would your want to ban them? Certainly they sound better than regular cigarettes. I haven't seen one but from from what I gather, they are a nicotine delivery system with some 'harmless' inhaleable medium. How worse can they be than nicotine gum?

So how was your son getting cigarettes? And how was he able to purchase this product?

Does anyone else know of a banning of these? We need to get the word out. My son did say that he smokes LESS with cigarettes because he can do this thingie in the house since there is no smell. Not good at all.

Our county just banned them for minors.
