It has been about 3 months since I have seen my family and freinds and about 6 months since I have ran on a call, and it is driving me nuts!!!! I had the honer of talking to some of the Camp Stryker Firefighters, and they love it here and think it is kinda fun. They are lucky thoug, they havent seen the side of war that I have, but I am geratfull that they are here. The modow of about every Fire Department here is "Protecting Thouse Who Protect Freedom", and it is gerat just to talk to them. Granted they have lost a few guys to rocket attaics and to the normle hazereds of the job. But they still stay with a wachfull eye, just like the rest of our brothers in the fire service. In away I envey them, wishing I was working with them and not playing soldier any more. It will be over soon and I will rejoin my brothers in the black helments and the big red trucks.
