If you're planning on being in Harrisburg next month for the Harrisburg Fire Expo, be sure to stop by ESI Equipment's “Extrication Boulevard” Burn Foundation booth and purchase a copy of a limited-edition print to support the Burn Foundation.

The poster is part of the inaugural Fundraiser for the Burn Foundation. The image, titled “Dogs in Action,” was created by Joe Getsinger and sponsored by ESI and JunkYard Dog Industries. It depicts a two-car MVA on a four-lane highway. One car is crushed on the passenger side and the other vehicle flipped over with the driver and passengers trapped in the vehicle. The flipped vehicle is stabilized with JunkYard Dog Rescue Struts while a firefighter lays out needed equipment on the tarp behind the scene. Two firefighters are standing by with a charged line to protect rescuers and patients in case the overturned vehicle ignites into flames. One firefighter looks into the vehicle to speak with the driver and passengers, and analyzing how they should be extricated while an EMT is on the driver’s side trying to determine the extent of their injuries. EMT’s nearby pull a litter from the ambulance getting ready to transport any injured individuals, while a EVAC helicopter hovers above for instructions. Another firefighter checks out the other damaged vehicle to determine if it will flare up seeing the oil and antifreeze leaking onto the roadway. There is a lot to see in the “Dogs in Action” image! The poster print would look perfect hanging in a fire station lounge, a chief’s office or your home.

This year’s Fire Expo Burn Foundation fundraiser starts on Friday May 15, and continues through Sunday May 17, 2009. All funds raised through the sponsor and artist will go in full to the Burn Foundation.
