Thanks George I'll try doing that. No one has ever explained it to me that way before. Taken the class 10 yrs ago and never passed hopefully all these key elements will help me pass the next time.

What really kills you is not carefully reading the questions. It's very easy to overlook words like "not" and "never" or other negatives that change the meaning of the question. Often you will see a question with an answer that is correct without the "not" and an answer that is correct with the "not". But, every test is different. Each subsequent question is selected based on how you answered the previous one.

Thanks Manuel for the support. People have suggested a couple off sites for me to use and seem to be helping me. Just want to make sure I pass the next time just have to do my best.

Hello, I took the this new test in January, three weeks after the class ended. I had an A+ in the class, did not feel like it when I opened the test. I stared at the first question for 4 min. freakin out. I then remembered what my instructor (who actually helped in the making of the test) said "go with what comes first to your mind", that is if you paid attention in class! I thought I bombed the test, but I passed. If I had not I would have freaked since I would not have known how to re-study for it. I would recommend some practice exams but to be honest with you they did not help much, just go back to your notes and power points and go with the answer that pops first. Good luck my friend.

Brother, I feel for you! That new computerized NREMT-B exam is a bear! I was an NREMT-B several years ago (when it was a written test), and was stupid enough to let my certification lapse. I recently went back through the whole course, felt pretty confident about taking the test ---- until I got on the actual test itself! I passed it, but felt like I had been in the ring with the entire WWF cast!
What helped me was the website www.emtb.com. Go through the online chapter pretests (in the left hand column), then take the registry review. If you can make an 80 on all the pretests and the registry review you should be fine. But be sure to not forget the ABC's like Ralph said, and study your basic CPR.

Thanks Ralph. This is the 2nd time taking it. Took the class about 10 yrs ago but could never pass it. The turn around time on getting your score back is much quicker. Just wish you could get a grade score to see how you do, I just want to see how I did to what I did last time. How long have you had your emt-b Ralph.
