Digital Dumpster?
Is it just me or does it seem that the photo album has become a dumpster for digital photos? I used to enjoy going through and viewing the recent photos and finding the interesting ones (scenes, fires, training, and the occasional member pix) now it's just too time consuming.
Not to knock anyone's pix, but does EVERY photo you ever took need to be downloaded?
Maybe I'm just a crochety, old, grey-haired, wrinkle-a$$...

I totally agree most pictures posted here should relate to fire/EMS subjects and maybe a few tactful family/personal pictures. And Karen you're right a brief caption helps a lot.!

. . .and, may I add PLEASE post some sort of description of the photos you post. Nothing like viewing photos and wondering "what exactly am I looking at". A brief description would be appreciated.

I'm not saying limit the pix to just fire/ems related, but does a person really need to download everything that is stored on the camera? Post a few personal ones so we can possibly get to know you better or whatever and call it good 'nuff. Heck, now that I think of it, does one really need to post 50+ pictures of a car accident? or 25+ of a helicopter coming in for a landing? then 15 more of the same evac unit taking off? My point is to be a little more selective on what you post.

Daryl, I "m a new member and i agree that the photo should be of fire and ems and personel not for personal modeling and family pictures, they need to have a separate page for that. Doug

Guess it just goes to show that we all have lives outside the station. Although I think the "bustin loose" pics are a little uncalled for.

Personally, I feel that unless it IS fire/EMS related in SOME way, it really shouldn't be on the site. I'm really not interested in looking at some teenybopper's "glamour wanna be" shots.

There's a prime example posted today....One of our Jr. members posted 105 photos of herself posing for photos....Mt daughter ever does that I will cut her hands off.....LOL

Tue...maybe you are......LOL...But then I have to admit I agree....look at some...there are cartoons...pictures of bikes....bands....dogs, cats....ect....I don't even bother anymore......Paul
