I never blog before. So bare with me
We been having issues with a county fire problem as for the past 60 years our county has a contract thru calfire, my department has a contract to staff the second engine out to all county calls now we had an idea to have a city run the county with us running the west side of it all. After a long vote the county did in fact give it to the city and us and last week they re voted to have calfire stay another year. And calfire wants to build two new stations out side of our city in order to cover the area. Now we staff 3 type 1 engines and we barely use the counties budget. so do you think its right for calfire to come into a town and over run it when we have a full company. This contract was very important to us and i see it as calfire trying to get rid of us.
