Two years ago, I bought my first set of personal bunker gear new on Ebay. Because it is the best, I bought Morning pride. Last year, our county Command staff spec'd new gear for the county CAREER fire fighters, and who did they use? Morning pride. I am proud to be ahead of the curve in my department!

In other news, it is beginning to appear that the IAFF local has no intention of letting the county command develop the Volunteer Division in any meaningful way, which means that it will continue to be under manned, undertrained, and underequipped. Some of the old timers in the Volunteer division have said flat out that the union will not, under any circumstances, allow the county Chief to move forward with his strategic plan for the county fire department. If this is the case, I welcome ideas as to how we might proceed so we can begin providing better service to our communities.
