2,976 dead…
Of them 236 were foreigners not from America…
2,740 of them were AMERICAINS…
2,740….
343 of 2,976. Were fire fighters who gave their lives to answer their last call here on earth…
and 23 were NYPD officers..
What does this mean to you…?
Will you ever forget where you were when the world came to a halt? Were ever TV news station showed this tragic event unfold?
To me there were 2,976 Mothers, Fathers, Sons, Daughters, Sisters, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles all who were killed with glory and pride, in total there were 2,976 people killed That day…
All who are heroes to me!
They gave there lives that day, not knowing they would not be making it home to see there families and friends, not knowing the last time they saw each other was going to be the last…
There are 343 of these heroes that stick out in my mind.
They were the fire fighters. I am a Proud New York State Fire Fighter. And will never forget the “343” they served and protected people they never new possibly never meet. To them it did not matter. They did it for the pride that came with the job. The pay, the greatness of being a FDNY fire fighter was nothing they cared about; they did it for the pride and self knowing of helping and protecting all.
May we all never forget any one of the heroes, also my we pull together and remember them today, remember their children that lost there parents, the ones who never get to say good night to daddy or mommy who never get to hug them or say I love you to any more these are the people we should remember on this day..
NEVER FORGET 9-11-01 May it be a day that is burned in your heart forever.
