Fairbury Volunteer Fire Fighter Brian J. Munz was killed fighting a two story residence fire in Forrest, IL., on Tuesday evening, July 22. Munz, age 24, was a 4 year member of the Fairbury Fire Department. He had made entry into the home, when the floor collapsed, trapping him in the involved basement. Investigation is on-going. Our sympathy and prayers to the family, Fairbury and area Fire Departments.

My deepest thoughts to the family of Brian and his co-workers. We ourselves are burring one of our own (Ryan Hummert, 22 FF/Paramedic) tomorrow who was shot in an ambush while responding to a car fire. We keep you in our thoughts and all of your friends! GOD bless always!
