From the celebrity news wires I'm hearing that Michael J. Fox may jump on board the cast of 'RESCUE ME' during the fifth season. The plan is for Fox to play a love interest to Denis Leary's character's ex (Janet). Entertainment Tonight is reporting this afternoon that Fox is considering the offer - which makes sense since Fox and Leary are longtime friends.
As you may recall, Fox suffers from Parkinson's and hasn't been on TV since 'Boston Legal' in 2006.

I'm trying to imagine how this Fox thing would pan out. I could see Leary going crazy over some short guy getting a piece of 'Janet'. He will go out of his mind. I've seen Michael on several news stories recently and it looks like his Parkinson's is not fully controlled. Could be an interesting twist to the series for sure.

If plans work out, we should see Mike when the fifth season premieres March 2009.
