OH MY GOODNESS!!!! My husband is finally done with paramedic, thank the Lord. I was beginning to wonder if I still had a husband ;) Between me working nightshift, him working during the day and then school and then clinical and then ride time... etc I think we have been lucky to spend ohhh 5 hours a week together. So, now class is done, exam is done, all that is left is state exam. Hopefully, that will be done soon. He passed his class exam with flying colors (awesome), so I am sure he will do well on the state exam. So, word of advice to any that have a family and are taking or going to take medic school, hold on tight its going to be a long hard ride for you, your spouse and your children. Just remeber there is light at the end of the tunnel. :)

It ain't over my friend! It's only just begun....

Now the shift work starts.

Now the stress of the job begins.

Now the mood swings begin as he reacts and responds in different ways to the trauma he'll be exposed to.

Now the body clock will be out of whack with the shift work and late nights.

Now the weekend getaways are changed.

Now the sleep at home is distruned if he's on call.

Yep, I'd say it ain't over yet!!!! :)
