We are getting an ethanol plant here in Mitchell County Georgia. What kinda training can we look forward to getting. Has anyone had any problems with there plants in there area... We have very limited resources here and we only cary 5 gal afff foam and 5 gal FIREAID on the trucks and I don't think thats going to cut it.

With the company coming into town, it is time to start meeting the company management immediately. Being that you are a small department with limited funds, it would be the responsible thing for the ethanol company to supply your department with the training and materials needed for a ethanol fire. They don't want to lose their investment because you don't have even close to the required amount of foam. Another thing you should consider is to get some extensive haz mat training going and to try to gather support from the state to make a team. You WILL need it.
