Has anyone dealt with Yurts, a membrne structure for camping. I have one being developed in town and they want to rent it out for overnighters. Let me know if you have any advice as to how to deal with these things.

A camp I volunteer at has a Yurt on site. Basically, they are nothing more than a glorified platform tent, depending on the actual construction. Our yurt is more structured than some, but it has a small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and common room. It also uses propane heating.

Based on the layout and structure of ours, there would be little to fight in case of fire, and not much chance at a rescue effort. I would guess it to burn fairly quickly. Forcible entry could be made fairly easily at any point in the structure.

The construction is a lattace-work type set up for the support of the tent membrane.
