Tornado's ripped threw Iowa yesterday. Hardest hit was Parkersburg, Iowa. I have been volunteering my time to go and help clean up. Later Sunday Night, we almost got hit. A confirmed tornado touched down 15 miles from me, and another 10 miles from my place. Talk about too close for comfort..Hazelton Iowa also got hit along with new Hartford Iowa. I have posted some pictures, and as more are available will post some more. Be thankful these didn't hit you, it can happen to anyone. These tornado's killed 5-8 people in Iowa. Well im gonna get back heading to the clean up site.
So far no reports of damage from the ones that touched down at the 205 and 210.Will keep you all posted

Just wanted to let those know that were concerned about me and my daughter that we are ok. and glad we didn't get hit

I along with the rest of my department were in parkersburg helping yesterday and a few went up again to day....living only 15 minutes from parkersburg it was way to close for comfort. the result is unbelievable.....keep all of our brothers and their families in your prayers....

Hello All-
I'm working in the JEOC in direct coordination with the State EOC right now. We're working on National Guard assistance to the affected areas. I'm sure most of you have seen the damage by now, as we've been the lead story on most of the major news agencies all day. The tornado is believed to have been a EF-5. I'll post more information when I can. At this point, we're pretty busy.
