Hi all, Well the silly season is upon us once again. The little bastards have already started to set fires to the scrub around our small country town and the towns arounds us.

Last week we spent a couple of days fighting bush fires along the iron ore rail lines and around the surrounding area's. With temperatures here expected to be constantly in the high 40's to low 50's (celcius that is) it looks like being a very long and hot season for us volunteers.

With cyclone season expected to commence as early as November this year (normally around mid January each year) due to the rising temperature in the waters around northern Australia, it looks like being extremely humid most of the time also.

So wish us luck.

Cheers
