I am 47 I have been assocated with the fire services and EMS field for 29 years.

I started with the Danbury Fire Department, (which is about 50 miles south of Houston Texas) before i was 18, we did not have a Jr. group, Dad was a firefighter (he rose to the rank of Fire Chief later) and i wanted to help.

my first respose was to a concrete truck overturned and we helped get the concrete out of it so that it could be lifted.

my job was to direct traffic, it was also my first time to get an ass chewing from the chief, because i let a car go thought the area to fast,

the best thing about that call was i was able to leave school and not get into trouble and the concrete company bought us steak dinner after the job

When i turned 18 was at at fire fighter one at A&M.

in the years that followed I have been with several departments.

Went to the US Air Force as a fire fighter,

Have become a Master certified Fire Fighter.
