On February 11, 2008 it was determined that our Thermal Imaging Camera was missing from the vehicle mount charger on Truck-1. We conducted an investigation to locate it, but turned up nothing. It has since been reported to the New York State Police for investigation and criminal prosecution.

The camera is an MSA Evolution 5000 TIC serial #A4-12377-C04. It was purchased from Jerome Fire Equipment on 5/31/05.

The North Syracuse Fire Department does request criminal prosecution of anyone possessing our Thermal Imaging Camera and this information was relayed to the NYS Police.

Could you please let the other county departments know this information, in the event someone happens to hear about or see our camera. It was clearly labeled with North Syracuse Fire Department stickers, Ink marker labeling and a North Syracuse Fire Dept bar code label. Also connected to it was the detachable/retractable lanyard.
