Chief.
I have just recently been voted Chief of our explorer post. I have been at our station the longest and I am the most experienced because of that. Most of our explorers were happy for me and wanted me to be chief but there were a few who got a little mad just because they were older than me. I figured I would just shrug it off and that worked. Now they all support me and don't try to argue what I say. But I do know that the fact of me being a girl created a few tensions too. Luckily the guys were cool about it and got over it soon. Now were trying to decide the Assistant Chief, which we have two candidates for, a girl and a boy. This should be fun times. But I'm happy at least.lol =D

Erikka, it sounds like you were the right candidate for the job. Pretty neat to hear that the complainers have gotten over it and are following. Hail to the new Chief! Congratulations!

Congratulations on your promotion. I always figure the one's that want to sit back and watch me fail in my position are going to disappointed, not to mention left behind. And of course, the ones on board with me are the ones I'm really there for. Best of luck to you Girl!
