The Social Network & Community JUST for Firefighters
Need some advice...................
Im finally going to apply for medic school. i luv being an emt but i want more. i need some opinons. i havent been an emt that long, some think i should stay an emt another year and some think i should go balls to the wall and go for the medic, what should i do. medic school starts in september i have to take the net test in august.

if you really want to and think you should you will do it and do it well. and if you are content with where you are then be happy there. i am just starting my med. life and think i want to be a EMT but as my life is im not ready i am working on the first responder after that i know i want EMTB but if i get more that grate but it is not in my hands!

I think you need a little time before you go for it. A little street time will really help in the long run. You will know when its the best time to go. When you do go. go for it full blast! it 's alot of fun.

I believe it is something you should want to do. It is a very rough prosses. You should ride at least a year or two BLS. I have the pleasure of ridding with ALS students and you can tell the ones who have never rode on a ambulance before from someone who knows the basics. But what ever you deside the best of luck too ya
