This is mor e of a rant, than a blog - lol

Friday around 13:00 the tones went off for an MVC (motor vehicle collision - we don't call accidents anymore). A lady in a mini van had driven through a stop sign. The road she was on was basically a horse track. She was crossing a secondary highway to get to the other side - there was no requirement for the hiway traffic to stop. She shmucked a small Toyota.

When we got there, we had to extract the injured person from the Toyota, the rocket scientist was sitting in the back of an RCMP cruiser, probably wondering what she did wrong.

I ride a motorbike, lots of us riders are getting shmucked in similar situations. The Charter of Rights allows for mobility, but it didn't take away the obligation to follow various traffic acts (laws).

This is our most common call out. We live in a pretty flat place with good sight lines, don't know why you can't see someone coming.
