Now I know I shouldn't be frustrated but I AM. I had a meeting last night with a neighboring town that we contract with to provide fire and EMS protection too. The issue was that this town is split into two districts, and coverage is provided by two different companies. The town supervisor of the town that we contract with is obliviouse to how much it takes to run a fire department these days. Now some might say that she is undereducated about the topic and needs info from us. Well I gave them a book full of information, actually just a pamphlet, but it had response times, who we are, what are membership is made up of, equipment and it's cost and what and when we purchased the equipment, yearly calls in the town. All of this and the town is still not understanding that we are volunteer, we need money to run our department the right way with new modern equipment and training. I don't know, it's just frustrating trying to tell these people for the hundredth time who we are, what we do, and how much it taes to run a volunteer organization. Just venting thats all thank you.
