I can only see the crying faces

As I walk into the room

No one knows the answer

For it has come so soon

As I look into their eyes I don’t know what to say

My heart is heavy and weak

For I have been awake

As we do all we can

You stay by my side

Pleading for me to save their life

When I arise from the ground with nothing left to do

Tonight I must tell you the truth

Though the words that I am about to say are heavy on my heart

And they will not comfort you today
