Shelley, Thank you for remembering, you are right, there are people out there who either has forgotten what happened or don't want to remember the horror from that day. Last night, the town I live in, had our annual remembrance of that day. Firefighters from three different stations participated and we lined the street in our gear. But there were less people there than who have attended in the past, which is a shame.

Thank you Shelley. You are so right about people forgetting...some out of indifference and some who need to forget. I can't forget. I was one who responded as part of the Arlington County Fire Department to the Pentagon on 9/11 and spent the rest of the week there. I can't forget the horror of the situation or the fear that prevailed. But I also can't forget the way people pulled together to help in whatever way they could. There were many heros that day, and many were never thanked because there were so many that pitched in it was impossible to keep track of them all.
