STARFISH

There was this man, walking down the beach and in the distance he saw a figure dancing....as he got closer he saw it was a child, bending down and reaching and throwing - and as he got even closer he saw that the beach was covered with Starfish. The waves were coming in and some were getting caught up and were being sent back to the sea and so many more were just lying on the beach. And this child was running and scooping up starfish and throwing them back into the sea.When he got closer to the child he said" what are you doing?" and the child said "I am saving the Starfish", and the man said, "but look at all of them; you can't possibly make a difference." And the child smiled as he reached down grabbed one and threw it into the sea, and he said, "I just made a difference to that one!"
