Well Christmas and New Years have come and gone like a bad date for me, don’t get me wrong I like the holidays but, for some reason god likes to watch me fix cars on holidays for example this xmas I replaced coil packs, an EGR valve, wires, plugs, upper and lower ball joints (those suck), and its still not running right, that’s not even the worse part. Xmas morning at 1:30am we get dinged for mutual aid on a house fire, I just got done playing Santa for the kiddo’s, I head to the house to staff a truck and I call in route, I get the following message from my chief, “50 responding for staffing.” “Chief 1 to 50.” “Go ahead Chief.” “You need to upgrade your response for the tanker.” Hot damn I get to flip switches and run hot (very few times do I get to do this any more) oh wait I’m in the kid getter, Crap!!!! In embarrassment “copy Chief I’ll be there in 3 minutes.” Oh pictures of fire are posted in my pics, God loves bad jokes, so after running tanker shuttles all night and missing my kiddos seeing what Santa left, it’s back to my truck and what Santa left for me. I guess being a shade tree mechanic one newer cars is a lost cause (I was one in a body shop for awhile) I have given up, guess I’ll leave that up to the big dogs at Ford to figure it out. You all know it going to be something dumb (smacks his forehead). On a good note I got the new Halloween movie (love the crap out of horror movies) a new cymbal and heads for my drums and the best one of all one pound of Dunkin’ Doughnuts Coffee (DDC)with a grinder, for anyone that does not understand the DDC we in the mid west could not get it for a long time, I became a addict on DDC after a recent trip to VA, (Hi, I’m DoRK and I’m an addict to DDC. Hi, DoRK) holy crap they put something in that coffee, because after I got back, it’s like I went through coffee withdraw (is that possible?) Starbucks (commonly known as Fourbucks) has nothing on DDC. So, as I drink my DDC and I hope Santa brought you all the things you wanted this year and if not, save up and buy it.
